Guidance: Ways to grow, Motivation and Inspiration

Technique, and how must, can we learn one ?

Its amazing by how much we can get done simply by trying.

Whether its writing, finishing a complex film, or building a better environment to educate children at school. Because when we show up and do our best, we can make things happen.

But then, sometimes or many, our internal horsepower becomes insufficient. Many a times it snowballs into sitting idle, waiting for inspiration to arrive or simply the right time.

Bhuvneshwari Devi is sitting at home with a black Wayfarer on. Her blood became so impure that it started affecting her eyes. Having no savings, or funds to go to a doctor, she turned to the roots, to an old technique; drinking turmeric and neem i.e Azadirachta indica powder with lukewarm water every morning on an empty stomach.

But for many others, as we seek to make bigger impact. we discover that powering our way through obstacles many a time becomes too difficult.

And so comes handy the technique, a route that might make things happen unlike before and that we need to learn! Or rather to know how to.

Technique is the unnatural approach to a problem that, with practise, becomes our second nature. Technique is the non-obvious solution that ametuers and hard-working beginners rarely stumble upon on their own.

The only way comes out to be the commitment to a practise, that opens the door to finding a more useful technique.

We got this far because our natural approach was helpful. But to get to the next level, we will need a technique, which, by definition, isn’t something we come by on our own.

If there are people whom you feel are playing at a different level than you, who are embracing an approach that feels unnatural to you, then you may have found the technique that you have been missing.

One evening, had to use my hitchhiking technique to reach faster, back home to Tanmarg, in Kashmir

Hi, I am Narayan Kaudinya. And i welcome you on this journey, the Road to Nara ! I am an Ethnographer and a practicing Indologist. I did my masters in History and further learnt Sanskrit, Yoga and Nerve-therapy. At 24, pushing most academic sounding, office sitting works away, i felt compelled to know and understand the world and my country, Bharat/India. I travelled, and as it happened i took up teaching in Kashmir and further up in the remote villages of Baltistan in the foothills of Karakoram Ranges. For around three years and many states later there came a time when i felt that it was only while teaching i learnt how to laugh, to see, feel, breathe, love and cry -with children, and mostly resource-less parents in the harshest-freezing border conditions. I write, and work as a documentary photographer and Filmmaker, with numerous published, exhibited and some awarded stories. In my travels and life i have let nature lead me, the divine mother, and as a Yogin, my resolve here is to share my experiences and thoughts as honestly, and through them to blossom in everyone the power and possibility in pursuing your breath, that you seek your true nature with courage and curiosity. Here, on this road i will share my spirit, my love for nature, the elements of life that are us. And in doing so, i'll be happy to see you along.

  1. Wonderful Narayan, how simply you explained a much twisted word “Technique”…efforts or even the thought of attempting anything out of comfort zone …its amazing ❤️

    • Richa, I imagine, it’s almost about showing up, first few steps and with just backing your own self intuition keep doing it day after day.

So lovely to hear from you after some time. Hope everyone is safe and happy and excited about everyday in family.

      Thank you so much.

    • haha, absolutely Veronika. But tell me because i have started to feel this that the pandemic will change a lot of hearts and i don’t know how many hitchhikers will be left after this experience the world had as one!?

Thank you so much for these words Veronika.

  2. It would be wonderful to flip a switch and find ourselves in another place and time, yet we are all time-travelers, moving together on the same spinning ball of rock, in the same direction, at the exact same speed. Yet, the world is full of divisions of our making. You can make deductions from information that exists but you need the ability to see what doesn’t exist and then bring it into being if you use your imaginative capabilities.

You seem to be at an impasse, unable to go any further under your own steam, that why teamwork is the key. Once you have worked who you can trust, you will move forward fast.

    • Joanna, to move a mountain sometimes the flow, the water has to keep pushing. Even though it seems still, or moving around, it will be hard to contain it, but unless help comes, soul ones arrive wanting to go in that direction. Teamwork is the key and so is respect and so is communication.

When we arrive at a point of understanding, learning that the goal is bigger than us. Us merely becomes the way to reach the means.

Teamwork is the key, and no door can be opened without it, I understand my dearest.

Thank you so much. Thank you.

    • Connie, was delighted to read you again. It was for me too when the thought started coming of levering up and how because as Joanna summed up, as she solely can, we need to trust and we need a team- and that is also a technique.

I know now Connie, i will keep coming over.

      Nara x

    • hard ! my dearest Joanna, they are the ones sent for us to hold on, to guide the other with heart and joy, for if they ever part, it is no less than missing a limb. Saying it from experience :-)❤️️

  3. I feel the same! Let’s open the door and continue with what was given to us as an understanding of what is of greater importance. The proof, if needed, is in the way Swamiji’s life was written and is continued. I wrote that I am putty in his spiritual hands, and have the urge to continue spreading his teaching, despite never hearing about him just a few weeks before.
Perhaps it would be better to use my email address to continue the plans about the teamwork?
