A view from the Car

Today started with Tiya mam forming a laugh on the white board. I had been photographing it. I woke up today waiting, like I had been doing since November. Chatterjee arrives late but it never wobbles me as it is not him. It is divine intervention. Lately enjoying photographing my food, purely for statistical reasons. It just happens to give a real view of your daily choices for the body that is the ultimate temple. We were going to the pat. The first one of the five. Also after the mountain fill of methane and worldly dump that made me choke through out the morning walk over the black mountain. We ticked another mountain off. And it bloomed evergreen Bougainvilleas like. Pink and other colours. Balloons over Krishna. Matsyadesh/The fish country and Pandava warriors.

Days are pleasant. Sun is shining from far like a star. Moon chilling in the night. Gana arrivèd with lots of sweets but I don’t like them anymore. once after they enter the magic system, they shut the whole nerve colony. A complete ban is advised.

Reaching the first Pat had only one flaw. Where is the place where snakes were sacrificed. I couldn’t find it but heard stories about Yamuna and the tortoise. So many cows sat outside and only one got curious enough to walk towards me . She earned love and two highly important bananas. Later when we left for the big hanuman statue we only couldn’t reach even by sundown. We took a turn and rested where we found the fat lulu. My knees have started hurting. After this project finishes. I will impose another ban of some sorts like driving in a city and about few things If you keep reading this space like bee for honey.

Hello, My name is Narayan. I am a teacher and an Ethnographer. After college i opted for teaching in far away villages of the Himalayas and later in Central rural India. And gradually as I wandered along the local streams and rivers, unending fields i learnt not only about myself but India and what is it to be Indian, living with various families throughout India. And to tell you, there is nothing more than a smile and an effort to make their children lives better that makes them happy. I have been independently working as a writer, photographer and filmmaker. For past many years I have been travelling the Indian subcontinent teaching and extensively documenting rural and her communities. Learning and understanding culture, communication and various ways of human mind and body. I am a student of History and did my masters in it. And later studied Sanskrit. When you realise the alignment of your spirit with the world around you, winds take you to places in the Himalayas, where you learn the ancient Yogic way of nerve healing, I can't really know myself but since then all the above mentioned things altogether has helped me generously to enter homes for shelter and food in the night. I come back to Delhi. Here mother and I run a small school for children.
